Slugs in the garden
When slugs get to the garden, your crop is at risk. They like to enjoy virtually everyone who grows on it. So if you see that a path from the slime is flashing around your flower bed, you need to act. If you have one slug in the garden, there are certainly more on the way. If you do not want to pay for chemical means against pests, for example, grapefruit or beer can help you.
First, it is important to know that slugs love cold and wet places without the sun. So if you have a place in the garden, prepare a beer trap for slugs. This is very simple. Just pour beer into a deeper plate or bowl, up to the brim. Beer has a strong aroma that attracts slugs. Slugs are therefore drowning in beer. If you have a bad conscience, you can say that they were drunk enough and cheerful that they did not even perceive their end. However, there is a less morbid option that you will not even have to stun or eliminate slugs from the Earth’s surface.
Catching slugs to grapefruit
If you want to choose a more peaceful access to these pests, you can use grapefruit trap. Take the grapefruit and remove the edible part. Then put the halves of the grapefruit in different parts of the garden and support one side with a smaller stone. Then just wait for the colony of slugs to get into them. It is a nasty look, but you don’t have to kill slugs or collect them one by one. Then just put them in the forest or meadow. Be careful, however, because the slugs can return. Therefore, take them at least 400 meters away to find no way back.
