The Ministry of Justice and Public Security (MJSP) will auction a 2018 Lamborghini Urus, valued at more than R $ 1.5 million. The luxury car was seized in a Federal Police operation. The initial bid set by the folder is R $ 1,149,348.75.

Operation Black Monday was triggered in Paraíba to dismantle a money laundering gang. The Ministry’s National Secretariat for Drug Policies and Asset Management (Senad) holds frequent auctions of assets seized from organized crime.

The car is parked on the PB’s courtyard in Paraíba, and interested parties can schedule a visit to see the vehicle between March 26 and 27 from 9 am to 3 pm. According to the ministry, both individuals and legal entities can participate in the auction.

The amount collected in the auction will be destined to the Fund for the equipment of the Federal Police (Funapol).

Last year, the Ministry of Justice and Public Security raised R $ 109.08 million with the auction of assets seized from organized crime. Between January and October 3,851 items were auctioned.

The decapitalization of gangs and factions is one of the main strategies of the portfolio to try to demobilize organized crime. The idea is that the financial strangulation of these organizations is critical to dismantling these groups.
