Ukrainian Minister of Defense UmiMe confirmed negotiations with the US in Saudi Arabia, focused on infrastructure security and fair peace.

The United States and Ukraine delegations began talks on Saudi Arabia on Sunday Arabia about the prospect of a partial ceasefire in the war with Russia. This was announced by the Ukrainian Minister of Defense Rust UMER, according to which the topic includes protection of critical infrastructure. Informed about Reuters and AFP, TASR writes.

“We started a meeting with the American team in Riyadh,” said UMEROV, who leads the delegation of Kiev. “The program includes proposals for the protection of energy equipment and critical infrastructure,” he added in a social network link, adding that the Ukrainian team is fulfilling the instruction of President Volodymyr Greeny to “approach a fair peace and strengthening security”.

The talks are held as part of Washington’s efforts to end the three -year war between Kiev and Moscow. The American-Ukrainian meeting precedes negotiations between US and Russia delegations planned in the Saudi Arabian metropolis for Monday.

The meetings follow a series of negotiations held in Saudi Arabia first between the United States and Russia and later between the US and Ukraine. Kiev agreed on them to propose a 30-day ceasefire, Russia instead suggested stopping air attacks on energy infrastructure.

A spokesman for the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry Heorhij Tychyj, according to the British BBC station, said on Friday that Ukraine considers the US meeting technical and bilaterally. He added that contacts with the Russian side are not planned.
