American Justice Department denounced 18 Brazilians for involvement in the sale of weapons and fentanil in Massachusetts
A group of 18 Brazilians, including members of the (first command of the capital), was accused by the United States Department of Justice of Arms Trafficking and Fentanil. Among the accused, 12 are in the country illegally. The information was released by UOL on Friday (21.mar.2025).
The investigation, called “Take Back America”, Massachusetts’ trafficking and drug trafficking has found. According to the authorities, Brazilians provided pistols, rifles and shotguns, as well as fentanil, a substance 50 times more potent than heroin. The group operated in cities such as Boston, Framingham, Malden and Marlborough, transporting Arsenal from Florida and South Carolina.
Prosecutor Leah Foley said the accused were part of an organized structure for the distribution of weapons and drugs in US communities. According to the prosecution, they face penalties of 5 to 15 years in prison, as well as fines of up to $ 250,000. After compliance with the sentences, they can be deported.
The list of the accused includes João Vitor dos Santos Gonçalves Pimenta, Victor Eduardo Santos de Souza and Riquelme Henrique de Aguilar Ferreira, among others. All are accused of marketing weapons illegally, and some also respond for fentanyl distribution.
