Mascarpone is a popular raw material in desserts, but its price is not exactly the lowest. Fortunately, there are simple ways to replace it without significantly affecting the taste or consistency of the food.
One option is cream cheese, such as Gervais or Philadelphia. It has a little more acute taste, but if you mix it with a little cream, you will get a soft and creamy consistency very similar to Mascarpone. In addition, sweet recipes can be easily sweetened.

Try ricotta, sour cream and curd
Another option is Ricotta. It is less fatty and has a slightly granular structure, but after mixing and adding cream you achieve smooth consistency. Ricotta is especially suitable for less sweet desserts or salty dishes.
Sour cream tastes differently than mascarpone, but if you combine it with cream cheese or cottage cheese, you will get a cream that will represent Mascarpone in many recipes. Slightly acidic taste can even be welcome in some desserts.
Curd mixed with cream or thick yogurt is another way to save and do not recognize the difference. After thoroughly mixing, it will be smooth and its taste will approach. Then just fine -tune the consistency and add a little sugar or vanilla.
There is also a vegan alternative

As a vegan alternative, coconut cream and cashew cream proved to be a cream. Coconut cream whipped into a thick cream fits into sweet recipes, while the mixed cashew nuts with a little water create a universal plant replacement.
