At the time, the politician was asked about the result of the survey to Tribuna/Data Control, released last week. Marcus appears first in the government dispute in 2026, with 25.2%, ahead of Senator Alan Rick, who appears with 20.2%.
“The first feeling that comes is gratitude, because, see, I have not occupied any space of power, no mandate, since 2018. And having the name remembered, as I had now recently for the city and the government, is an honor for me. In 2018, I was a candidate for governor, I had 144 thousand votes and had a dream of helping our state.
“But I am very happy, I will not make the decision hastily, I think the MDB must listen to the leaders, visit the municipalities, gather our militancy in each of the municipalities, to, at the end of the year, make a decision. I think very early any decision now about the alliance, since the elections are only next year. But my feeling is gratitude to people who remembered our work,” he added.
Marcus does not rule out being a candidate for governor or another position in 2026.
“Look, I do not or be a majority candidate, in the governor, or candidate for deputy. We have the elections next year to deputy, governor and senator. I do not rule out any of them, but it is a decision that we will make collectively in the MDB and calmly, without haste,” he said.
