Bloodborne It turns 10 years of existence this March 24, and its history continues to resonate strong in the community. So we decided to honor and remember the city of Yharam, bringing together some of its darkest stories!
It is only the warning that these are theories, so they are only interpretations (and not the absolute truth) about the history of the game.
1 – Father Gascoigne and Old Blood

With quick attacks, horrifying screams and a second intense phase, the confrontation against him is a shock for every player, representing only the tip of the iceberg of the rest of the game. Many may have let it pass, however, that there is a very sad plot behind it, involving the wife and the two daughters of the boss.
Father Gascoigne is one of the hunters who tried to deliver Yharam from the monster infestation, sharpening his skills with old blood. The use of this substance, however, brings some side effects, such as forgetting people’s faces – even their own family.
This forgetfulness made the wife, Violacreate a music box with a melody that helped Gascoigne keep up. Until, one day, he forgot the item as he went out and ended up completely given to insanity.
The player comes into play after these events and, before facing Gascoigne, you can find the boss’s youngest daughter, hidden in a house. She delivers such a music box (which can be used in the fight to distract him) and says she is completely alone after the whole family disappears.
Then, when progressing in the game and defeating the boss, we found a track of what happened: the wife’s corpse is around the area, indicating that his death was caused by Gascoigne himself.
This bow is finished when talking to the little girl, who despairs to learn about her parents’ death and is killed while trying to escape the city. Shortly thereafter, the eldest daughter appears in the same house and, finding what happened, begins to delirious and ends the same fate as the whole family. Tragic.
2 – O Tormento de Lady Maria

She is a former student of Gehrmanthe first hunter (who assists the player since the start of the game), who has become one of the most powerful fighters of the old hunters.

3 – Ludwig and the sacred blade

Gradually he lost his sanity and humanity, becoming a deformed and immense monster, moving to the puddles of blood that he poured – and it is in this scenario that the fight against Ludwig happens. In the first part of the battle, the monster attacks only his ferocity, but in the second he wields the sacred blade, making that one of the most difficult moments to Bloodborne.
4 – Yharnam, the Pthumerian Queen, and Mergo

Entering deeper territory in lore of BloodborneYharnam is where the game takes place – and it is also the name of the Queen who ruled Pthmeru, the city where all insanity began.
