Every year, for Christmas, we dream wet Easter grandmother. Unfortunately, this effect is not always achieved. Grandmother often becomes more and more dry, especially with each day after Christmas. A reliable patent for long -lasting freshness of the dough is to add a bit … carrots or pumpkin to the mass. But how is it? Easter grandmother with vegetables? Don’t worry, their taste will be almost imperceptible, and it will give the cake a beautiful color. You will make this damp Easter grandmother on the basis of pumpkin purée. Although it is difficult to buy a fresh vegetable in spring, you can easily buy a ready -made jar with purée.

Ingredients:

  • 150 g of butter,
  • 200 g of fine sugar,
  • a teaspoon of vanilla sugar,
  • 2 eggs,
  • 125 ml buttermilk,
  • 200 g Purée from Dyni,
  • 450 g of wheat flour,
  • 2 teaspoons of baking powder,
  • a pinch of salt,
  • 2 tablespoons of lemon juice,
  • a tablespoon of water,
  • 85 g of powdered sugar.

Method of performance:

Prepare pumpkin puréepreferably Hokkaido. Cut the pumpkin into pieces and remove the crumb with seeds (you don’t have to peel the skin). Put the pumpkin on a baking tray lined with baking paper. Bake at 180 ° C (for about 30 minutes – until the pumpkin is tender). Cool the baked pumpkin, separate the skin and blend the pulp. Measure 200 g. Pase the rest. If you use a ready -made preparation, simply use 200 g of pumpkin from a jar.

Observe all the ingredients from the fridge to room temperature.

Get in the cake. Grate the soft butter with sugar and vanilla sugar. Without interrupting mixing, add eggs, then buttermilk and pumpkin purée. Do not mix the mass for too long – only to combine the ingredients.

Sift flour, baking powder and salt to the mass. Mix to combine the ingredients.

Liberate and sprinkle with flour into a grandmother with a chimney with a diameter of 22 cm. Pour the cake into the mold.

Put in the oven preheated to 180 ° C. Bake for about 50-60 minutes – to the so -called dry stick. Cool on a grid.

Prepare icing – Combine lemon juice, water and powdered sugar. Mix until liquid sugar dissolves. Pour the cooled grandmother with icing.
