This year you will not be forgotten so quickly in Egyptology – and a few weeks ago, archaeologists celebrated the discovery of the tomb of Thutmos II. It was the first find of the grave of a famous Pharaoh since the discovery of Tutankhamun’s crypt by Howard Carter more than 100 years ago. Shortly afterwards, the research team reported on a second grave of Thutmosis II, into which the ruler of the 18th dynasty was probably released shortly after his first burial.
