Soldier suffers 2nd degree burns during PM training in Bahia

A soldier from the 38th Independent Military Police Company (CIPM) suffered 2nd degree burns during a special platoon leveling training in Bom Jesus da Lapa, West Bahia.

The incident occurred during the Basic Operational Tactical Employment Course, held by Rondesp Midwest between March 17 and 20, with the participation of 29 military police.

According to the calculation of CNNa captain would have demilitarized a tear gas grenade and thrown the resulting powder in the back of the training participants.

According to the Military Police, during one of the instructions that simulated operational situations with the use of chemical, one of the participants had the most intense skin reaction.

The policeman was promptly referred to the local Emergency Care Unit, where he received the necessary medical care and attest to removal from activities for seven days.

The Midwest Regional Policing Command follows the case and continues to provide full support to the police, who recovers in the city where he resides.

The PM did not disclose the name of the soldier or details about the chemical used in training.
