The British Navy Royal looks impassively at the MEGADESPLIEGUE DE LA NATO in Spanish Aguas

The Spanish Navy and NATO, on the one hand, and the Royal Navy Gibraltar squad, on the other, will carry out maneuvers this week simultaneously, although in locations other than the Strait of Gibraltar and the Gulf of Cádiz. Although the United Kingdom is part of the Atlantic Alliance, its strategic bases of the Peñón are not integrated into the NATO structure, as the medium has remarked .

NATO and the Spanish Navy began on Monday in the Gulf of Cádiz the Dynamic Mariner/Flootex-25 exercise, the most important naval exercise of recent years, both at the Spanish level and the allied field, which will take place between March 24 and April 4.

This has the participation of some 4,000 military, 30 ships, two submarines, amphibious units and aerial media from 9 allied countries: Germany, Croatia, Spain, USA, France, Greece, Italy, Portugal and Turkey.

The exercise will also allow to prove the integration of new technologies in naval operations, with the participation of unmanned media, the Navy has reported in a note. This training will be carried out to “be prepared to contribute to and from the sea to the defense of Spain and its legitimate interests, security and well -being and territorial integrity.”

For its part, Royal Navy has announced that this Wednesday will carry out the Surfex exercise on the east face of the rock. As reported by the Gibraltar Port Authority, the operation, called Box Surfex, will take place between 9:00 and 11:00 and include the participation of patrolman HMS Dagger, a boat of the Gibraltar Defense Police (GDP) and two rapid boats: an Arctic 24 and a Pacific 24 Rhib.
