Elderly who sell coffee at the urban terminal is run over while pushing cart and is in serious condition

Maria Ivanete Jucá, 62, was seriously injured after being run over while pushing a shopping cart in the middle of the street on Tuesday night (25). The accident occurred near the former 1st Civil Police Regional, on Benjamin Constant Street, in the Caina Velha neighborhood of Rio Branco.

According to witnesses, the elderly woman has difficulties in moving and works as a self -employed, selling breakfast near the Urban Terminal, in central Rio Branco.

She was driving pushing a supermarket cart through the center of the road, near the division of the two bearing lanes, when, unexpectedly, was hit by a motorcyclist identified only as Luiz. It drove a silver-colored 750-cylinder motorcycle with QWQ-6i14 license plate in the center-watery direction.

Although the impact was light, the elderly woman fell and hit her head violently against the asphalt, suffering a severe tricks trauma. The motorcyclist remained at the scene after the accident.

Neighbors of the victim triggered the Mobile Emergency Care Service (Samu), which initially sent a basic support ambulance for the first calls. Given the severity of the situation, an advanced support ambulance was required to entail Maria Ivanete. After being stabilized, she was sent to the Rio Branco Emergency Room in serious condition.

The motorcyclist triggered military police from the 1st Battalion, who arrived quickly to the scene and supported the traffic policing team, which later isolated the area and awaited the expertise. After the usual procedures, the motorcycle was released and the driver was able to take her home. The shopping cart was collected by relatives of the elderly.
