Journalist Francisco Willamis da Silva França, 46, was arrested on Tuesday night when he was arrested an arrest warrant against him for drug trafficking. The arrest took place at the Flagrant Police Station (Defla) in Rio Branco, while he was a police report against his former partner. According to the Civil Police report, Willamis France, as it is best known, arrived at the Public Security Unit around 11 pm to formalize the complaint. By the time their documents were inserted into the system, a red alert was triggered, indicating the existence of a possible arrest warrant against the journalist.

The police report was normally filed until the document was delivered to Willamis, when it was informed of arrest warrant No. 0032032-90.2001.8.220501.01.0003-22, issued by the Porto Velho Toxic Driving Court (RO), for possible involvement with drug trafficking.

The crime of drug trafficking is provided for in Article 33 of Law No. 11,343/2006, which penalizes acts such as importing, exporting, sending, preparing, producing, making, selling, exposing to sale, offering, having in deposit, carrying, saving, prescribing, delivering, delivering consumption or providing drugs, even if free or in disagreement with legal or regulatory determination.
Faced with the situation, the police gave Willamis França a voice of arrest, which was led to the jail of the Civil Police. He will remain available to the State of Rondônia, responsible for issuing the warrant.
