Russia and Ukraine make a ceasefire agreement

On the morning of Wednesday (26), a partial truce agreement was released between AEA, mediated by the government of, which promises to temporarily relieve tensions in the region. This agreement, which arises more than three years after the conflict began, establishes the suspension of naval attacks on the Black Sea and bombing against energy infrastructures of both countries for a period of 30 days. However, the truce is conditioned to the guarantees of the United States, including the pressure to withdraw sanctions against agricultural exports and russian fertilizers.

The former president of the United States, played a central role in the mediation of this agreement, personally leading the negotiations. According to US news agencies, the conflict between the two countries has resulted in about 2,500 daily deaths, including civil and military casualties. The White House confirmed that two distinct documents were signed, one with Russia and one with Ukraine last week. Russia, however, conditioned the implementation of the ceasefire to the immediate reconnection of its banks to the international financial system.

Despite the advertisement of the truce, the situation on the ground remains tense. Drone attacks by Russia were recorded hours later, without confirmation of targets affected. The truce, limited to specific areas, does not cover other regions affected by the conflict, which means that civil citizens still face risks in other parts of the territory.
