The 1st class of the Supreme Court heard defenses of the accused; Ministers will vote become the former defendant president this Wednesday
The 1st Panel of the (Supreme Federal Court) heard the defense of the 8 reported for attempted coup d’état on the 3rd (25.mar.2025), the 1st day of the trial that analyzes the complaint of the (Attorney General’s Office).
In the morning, the board of 5 ministers (Cristiano Zanin, Alexandre de Moraes, Carmen Lúcia, Flávio Dino and Luiz Fux) heard the arguments of the defenses against the allegations of the Attorney General, Paulo Gonet. In the afternoon, the ministers rejected the preliminary requests of the defenses – all unanimously, the minus the request for the analysis of the plenary of the Supreme Court (11 ministers), not the class (5 ministers). Fux went to accept the request.
This Wednesday (26.mar), at 9:30 am ,. That is, the court will evaluate the crucial core members to the coup plan becomes defendants. Among them are the former president (PL), your deputy in 2022, (PL) and 3 former ministers.
