KIEV (Reuters)-Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky asked the United States on Wednesday that they sanction even more Moscow, which, according to him, is clearly not looking for a “real peace” after a night of Russian drone attacks that caused damage in various places.
He highlighted the attacks on his hometown Kryvyi Rih and in the North Sumy region, while doubts arose about the basic details of two US-announced ceasefire agreements on Tuesday after conversations in Saudi Arabia.
To interrupt attacks on the Black Sea and against each other’s energy targets, although it was not clear when the agreements come into force.

President Volodymyr Zelensky said they were in effect immediately, but Kremlin said Black Sea agreements will not be in force less than some Russian banks are connected to the international financial system. Kremlin says he is already implementing his break in energy attacks.

None of the Ukrainian statements reported that Russia attacked energy infrastructure at night, but Zelensky said the actions were against the spirit of peace negotiations.
“Launching these attacks on a large scale after ceasefire negotiations is a clear sign for the whole world that Moscow will not seek real peace,” Zelensky wrote at X.
Russia, which only informs the destruction of drones, said it had destroyed nine drones, including two in the Black Sea. Moscow said Ukraine tried to attack a gas storage installation in Russia occupied by Russia and the energy infrastructure in the Russian regions of Kursk and Bryansk. The country did not report damage.

There was no immediate response from Kiev. The Ukrainian military reported 117 drone attacks and local authorities said the city of Kryvyi Rih was hit by the biggest drone attack he faced since the large -scale invasion of Russia in 2022.
“Apparently, this is how occupants want peace,” wrote Oleksandr Vilkul, head of the Military Administration, in the Telegram Message Application, saying that the attack caused fires and damaged buildings.
He stated that there were at least 15 explosions in the city, which has been regularly attacked during the war.

“The most important thing is that there were no deaths or injured.”
