The governor of the State of São Paulo, Tarcisio de Freitas (Republicans), said on Thursday, 27, that the fact that the Supreme Court (STF) does not change its plans to the general election of 2026.
“There is no such way. I am a candidate for reelection in the state of São Paulo, I am focused on the state and the project of São Paulo,” he said
The statement to journalists was made after the opening event of the Piracicaba II unit, Klabin packaging factory in the city of Piracicaba, in the interior of São Paulo.
The state governor also said on Thursday he has confidence that the former president of the Republic will “prove his innocence.”
