BUENOS AIRES (Reuters)-Argentine Foreign Minister Gerardo Werthein is expected to travel to Washington on Thursday to start “establishing the foundations for a solid trade agreement between the two countries,” according to a government statement.
The Argentine Foreign Ministry said in the statement that Werthein would start a round of official meetings on Friday, including with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, who is touring the Caribbean this week.
“This meeting will seek to explore opportunities to promote investments and consolidate an economic cooperation structure for the future,” the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in the statement.
