The PSP Lisbon Metropolitan Command, through the Criminal Investigation Division, informs that it detained, for the third time this month, a duo of portarists composed of two women.
The last time they acted, according to PSP, was in the past “March 24, at 19h00, in the parish Santa Maria Maior”, in the capital.
Police of the PSP team specially created to combat the carrier’s theft phenomenon intercepted the two suspicions, 22 and 24, when “A cunning, coordinated and premeditated manner, they approached a group of tourists and cunningly opened the closing of the victim’s backpack, having removed a wallet that contained 685 euros in cash and several documents”.
After the detention, “all belongings were recovered and delivered to their legitimate owner.”
The detainees, already with antecedents for the same type of crime, and “overly referenced by this type of illicit, by the police of the Phase Further Brigade”, had already been “intercepted and detained (…) on March 9 and 19, being the third situation this month”.
