Famous French cookies. Bake a delicate magdalenek for Christmas and other occasions

Magdalenki are sponge cakes derived from French cuisine. They arise from a combination of flour, eggs, sugar, butter and a few drops of lemon juice or with the addition of its skin. They are prepared in a special form that gives cookies the shape of shells. However, you might as well use any form for small cakes. Magdalenki have a long history and often found French literature cards. Today they can find your table.

Ingredients:

  • 2 eggs,
  • 70 g cukru,
  • 60 g of butter,
  • 70 g of cake flour,
  • The skin is rubbed with 1/2 lemon,
  • 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract,
  • 1/4 teaspoon of baking powder (optional),
  • powdered sugar (for decoration).

Method of performance:

Melt the butter and set aside to cool completely.

Grate eggs with sugar to a fluffy mass. Without interrupting grinding, add lemon peel and vanilla extract to it, then pour in a thin jet on the butter.

Turn off the mixer. Sift flour to the mass. Mix gently to combine the ingredients.

Cover the bowl with the dough with cling film and put in the fridge for at least a few hours (preferably overnight).

Heat the oven to 190 ° C. Magdalene (for 12 pieces), grease and sprinkle with flour. Mix the chilled dough again. If you want cookies to be more fluffy, mix in the dough baking powder.

With the help of a spoon, fill the form with dough (about 2/3 of the volume of each recess – cookies will grow). Immediately put it in a preheated oven. Bake for 8-12 minutes until the magdalens are browned. Serve with powdered sugar.
