Former Corinthians player Régis Fernandes Silva, Régis Pitbull, 48, was arrested on Tuesday morning (25) after assaulting the building’s subsindic where he lives in the north of São Paulo.

The building is located at Rua Doctor Achiles Lisboa, in the Pirituba neighborhood.

“Military police were called in to attend to the occurrence and, at the scene, it was found that the victim, a 68 -year -old man, was assaulted by the author after an argument. He was seriously injured and was rescued to the Pirituba health post,” said the State SSP (Secretariat of Public Security) of the state.

He had no defense, according to the Civil Police. He was released on Wednesday (26) after a custody hearing, with the obligation to keep an address updated and appear in court every month for a year.

The aggressions took place inside an elevator. Monitoring camera images show when the former player and subsidy discussed and the player threatens him. The subsidy gave the former player a few pushing. Then Pitbull heads the elderly and punched in the mouth.

José Hamilton, the assumed subsidy, said on TV Globo’s Meeting program, who was in the building’s hall and saw when the former player was inside the elevator and kicked the equipment door.

“He kicked the door. I opened the door and tried to argue with him not to do that because we just renovated the elevators. He said ‘nobody sends me, I do what I want.’

Régis Pitbull still hit two punches in the victim’s mouth before leaving the elevator. The subsidy said he lost three teeth and a room is at risk of falling as well.

He stated that the former player has long caused problems in the condominium.

“For over 20 years has not paid condominium, his apartment has been in attachment, went to auction, waiting for eviction. He is a ‘non grateful persona’. Take a shower in our pool, no longer respect the employees, janitors, janitor, or the owners themselves. Everyone avoids the state he is.”

Hamilton said he is afraid of what can happen in the future.

“I’m home, but I don’t know what I do, if I leave home. I’m terrified, I have wife, son, grandson. It’s sad. The fear is not just mine, it’s all the condominium,” he said.

According to the Court, Pitbull is prohibited from approaching the victim or maintaining any kind of contact with her for a period of 12 months, as well as other protective measures.

The case was recorded as severe bodily injury in the 33rd DP (Pirituba).
