Hairdresser Débora Rodrigues dos Santos, 39, said, in a statement, that she did not invade any of the buildings of the three powers during the acts of January 8. The phrase “lost, manéIt refers to a response given by the current president of the Supreme Court, Luís Roberto Barroso, in 2022, Bolsonarist protesters. The court minister was in New York to participate in a conference. The case of Deborah is tried by the 1st class of the Supreme and, so far, the ministers Moraes and Flávio Dino voted for the conviction of the hairdresser. The ministers Cristiano Zanin, Cármen Lúcia and Luiz Fux are still missing.
On Monday (24.mar), Minister Luiz Fux of Deborah’s process, suspending the analysis of his conviction. The minister, however, has already said that he will review the sentence of 14 years in prison, given by Moraes and Dino. “I confess that I on certain occasions come across an exacerbated penalty. And that’s why I asked for a view of the case. I want to analyze the context in which this lady [Débora] it was”He said.
VOTES OF MORAES AND DINO
Moraes on Friday (21.mar) for the conviction of Deborah to 14 years in prison: 12 years and 6 months, to be fulfilled initially closed, and 1 year and 6 months of detention, in semi -open or open. The defendant was convicted of all crimes imputed by the (Attorney General’s Office).
The crimes are Bolsonaro and the other 33 accused of trying a coup in 2022. They are:
- Armed criminal association;
- Violent abolition of the Democratic Rule of Law;
- coup d’etat;
- Damage qualified by violence and serious threat, using flammable substance, against the union’s assets and with considerable damage to the victim;
- and deterioration of listed heritage.
The vote of the rapporteur was, who agreed with the dosimetry of the penalty. As the board is made up of 5 ministers, 1 vote is missing for most to condemn the hairdresser. The trial, in virtual session, was expected to end on Friday (28.mar).
Moraes stated that the accused was identified by baking the statue from images released by the newspaper S.Paulo Folha. The STF minister said the images prove to “Active Contribution by Débora Rodrigues dos Santos in the undemocratic acts”That had as their purpose“abolish the democratic rule of law and testify the government legitimately constituted”.
There is, however, no image that proves that Deborah has entered any of the headquarters of the three powers. The available photos show the hairdresser in the Three Powers Square. The defense used these arguments to request the rejection of the complaint. He claimed that there were no elements that attributed to Deborah the authorship of the crimes.
In the vote, however, Moraes argues that the accusation of the hairdresser fits as a crime “multitudinary”That is, which is committed by a crowd. In this case, criminal liability can be shared. This thesis was validated by the ministers of the 1st class in other judgments of 8 January.
In another part of the decision, Moraes says that Deborah “deleted and concealed evidence of its intense participation in the scammer acts“. Débora Rodrigues dos Santos became a defendant for the 1st class of the STF on August 9, 2024, unanimously. She has been pre -tried in preemptively since March 17, 2023, by order of Moraes. It has 2 children.
The hairdresser was arrested by the PF in the 8th phase of Operation Lesa Fatherland, which targeted the participants of the acts of January 8, 2023. At the time, protesters depredated the headquarters of the three powers in Brasilia.
During the extremist acts, Deborah was photographed by baking the statue in front of the STF. According to the defense, she had only a lipstick to do the graffiti.

“I wanted to say it was nothing premeditated, I’m a good citizen. I went to the acts and did not imagine they were going to be so troubled the way they were. I went on my own, by bus, and when I came across in Brasilia, the movement, I had no idea of the financial good and symbolic good of that statue.
“When I was there, there was already a person doing the graffiti and it was missing perhaps a little malice on my part, because he started writing and he said: ‘I have the very ugly lyrics, girl. You can help me write?’ Of the places.
