The House of Representatives approved, on Tuesday (25), a bill that aims to protect the interest of children and adolescents by limiting the access of parents to the administration of the property of children, when there are abusive conduct. The proposal now goes to the Senate and, if approved, will be sent to the sanction of President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva.
The bill is based on the case involving actress Larissa Manoela, who, in an interview with the program FantasticHe revealed that he was being forced to give up the money earned from his television work due to a family dispute.
According to the actress, $ 18 million were passed on to parents, and she reported that she did not have access to her own money for everyday expenses, such as asking parents to buy “corn on the beach”. She also mentioned family quarrels, including denied requests for PIX values transfers.
The approved text describes abusive conduct of parents or guardians, which include the indiscriminate use of children or adolescents and their improper appropriation. The project also states that heritage management should be performed responsibly, prioritizing the interests and well-being of minors.
Among the main points of the project is the requirement that the property management of children will follow the principles of legality and transparency, with the obligation to provide accounting, at least every two years or according to judicial determination. The measure aims to protect children and adolescents from possible abuses in the administration of their resources, from artistic, sports or intellectual activities.
