At issue is the agreement signed in July last year to increase the risk supplement. These structures claim that there are police and military “to gain less than a PJ security guard.”
A PSP union and three GNR associations will submit an administrative action in court against the state because it was denied to the police the same amount as the risk supplement attributed to PJ employees.
The action, which will be presented at the Lisbon Administrative Court, is filed by the Independent Police Agents Union, National Guard Sergeants Association, Independent Professional Association of Republican National Guard and the National Guardas Autonomous Association.
The fundamentals on which it is based will be explained this Thursday at a press conference in Lisbon, by the constitutionalist Bacelar Gouveia and lawyer João Pinheiro.
At issue is the agreement signed in July last year between the PSP Ministry of Internal Affairs and three PSP unions and four GNR socio -professional associations that established the increase in 300 euros of the risk supplementpassing this subsidy to 400 euros.
Ask for “replacement of equality between police”
These four PSP and GNR structures that will now submit an action in court did not signed the agreement in July last year and consider it “ignored the recognition of the constitutional principle of equality” in denying the elements of these two security forces “the same risk supplement amount previously fixed to all employees of the Judiciary Police”.
“The supplement aims to compensate for the exercise of functions under risk, unhealthiness and penalty conditions, with the agreement of evidently violated the interests of the elements of the GNR and PSP”, consider those structures, stressing that the action in court aims to “seek the replacement of equality between police.”
The president of the National Association of Sergeants of Guarda (Ansg), Ricardo Rodrigues, told Lusa that the objective is for action to reach the Constitutional Court.
Ricardo Rodrigues also argued that the value of the risk allowance attributed by the socialist government to the elements of the Judicial Police is superiorgetting some PSP police and GNR military “to earn less than a PJ security guard”.
