Surely you have ever seen a video on the Internet, where the author wrapped the inflated balloon into the glue with a soaked string. In this way, many different interesting objects can be created, such as ceiling lighting shades.
In the case of the production of Easter egg or nest, we use ordinary toilet paper instead of string. Because the dried paper will hold the shape well, there is no need to use glue or other reinforcing component. However, if you want the egg or nest to last longer, you can finally strengthen it with a varnish or spray paint.
In addition to the inflated balloon, also prepare toilet paper. It is suitable either pure white or more natural beige. The paper will have to be wrapped around the whole balloon in several layers and soaked. But do not wrap the balloon completely. It must remain some opening to release the balloon later.
Because working with wet toilet paper is not easy, it is ideal to help with a water sprayer or sprinkler. Subsequently, it is necessary to allow the paper to dry well. You can’t move on without it. Don’t rush. Place the balloons somewhere near the radiator and wait a day or two until the paper layer is perfectly dry.
Only then can you drain the balloon slowly. This gives you a check that the paper crust does not damage and the shape remains intact. Now you have the basis of your giant egg or nest. The paper can be easily shaped with scissors to cut the edges of shells or other shapes.
If you wrapped the balloon almost all, you will get a nice shape of the egg. If you focused only on half the balloon, you create a nice nest or egg shell.
Best at the end: decorating
And now comes the best part! You can decorate eggs, nest or shell. But first, you can still strengthen the crust, help you paint or spray color with it. If you visit the hobby market, you will find many trend and beautiful shades.
You can make eggs and shells. All you need to do is spray them with a few drops of light blue or brown. You will dazzle metallic colors that are suitable for the inside of the shell and sprinkling. The nests can be of different color because they are Easter and we do not have to pretend to be a real nest of twigs.
However, you can decorate the bowl with twigs from the inside and from the inside to create a truly impressive work. Various feathers also look very nice. Flowers, birds, chickens, bunnies and other chicks from the animal kingdom are also suitable for the spring theme.
