The president intends to announce new tariffs on April 2. “That is the real day of the liberation of the United States, and it will be April 2, and I look forward to it,” Trump said on multiple occasions through his social social network. On that date it is expected to announce what he calls “reciprocal tariffs.”
Regarding the announcement of April 2, Trump has indicated that the measures may not be the equivalent taxes that have been committed to impose. “We are going to be very indulgent,” said Trump. “I think people will be surprised a lot.
