UEFA opened, on Thursday (27), an investigation against four stars of Real Madrid, including Frenchman Kylian Mbappé and Brazilian Vinicius Junior, for alleged “indecent conduct” during the winning winning round of the Champions League against Atletico Madrid.
The two attackers of the meringue team, as well as German defender Antonio Rüdiger and Spanish midfielder Dani Ceballos, are in danger of sanctions before the quarterfinals match against Arsenal on April 8.
“An UEFA ethics and discipline inspector was appointed to investigate indecent conduct allegations by Real Madrid CF players,” the entity that commands European football said in a statement.
According to the Spanish press, UEFA is investigating Real Madrid players for the way they celebrated the victory.
AFP contacted Uefa and Real Madrid, but got no response to the investigation.
The giant of the Spanish capital, 15 times European champion, defeated the Colchoners on penalties at the Metropolitan Stadium on March 12, after a 2-2 draw on the aggregate scoreboard.
The confrontation ended in controversy after Argentine striker Julián Álvarez of Atletico had his penalty kick annulled for allegedly played in the ball.
