It took a long time for former President Jair Bolsonaro to be taken to the defendant’s bank. The former captain was supported by Minister Dias Toffoli and was omission by former Attorney General Augusto Aras.
Its strategy was sustained in false assumptions: allegations-afterwards-of fraud at the polling lines and the triplices for the choice of PGR. As a backdrop, he stimulated the discourse of military democracy.

Toffoli supported the renewal of Augusto Aras. It rejected a request to prosecute it for prevarication, for not investigating Bolsonaro. He said he never saw from his part “no attitude against democracy.”
The former captain repeated what he did to other flamers: he inflated Toffoli’s ego and then emptied his claim to be the mediator among the three powers.
The minister, in turn, also adulted it. “Were it not for the responsibility, patience, discretion, and strength of the silence of your excellence, we might not be here, we wouldn’t have perhaps democracy.”
To be nominated PGR, Aras tuned the speech with candidate Bolsonaro. He said he believed in military democracy.
Aras previously tried to be PGR out of the Triple list of ANPR (National Association of Prosecutors). He ran away from the vote by peers, because he knew he would be defeated.

Denial fraud
In July 2020, in Alberto Toron, Marco Aurélio de Carvalho and Antonio Carlos de Almeida Castro (Kakay), Aras said his goal was to open PGR “so that he can never say he has black boxes.”
“Fraudable triple list never again,” he implied, without proof. The meeting with Lava Jato defenders surprised the MPF’s Superior Council. Aras claimed it was an “academic event”.
In an open letter to the PGR, four Deputy Attorneys General criticized MPF’s “deconstruction”: “A discredited, unstable and weakened prosecutor only meets the interests of those who position themselves on the fringes of the law.”
“There was never fraud in any elections in the MPF,” they said.
In, Lieutenant Colonel Mauro Cid revealed that Bolsonaro did not accept the first conclusion of the Armed Forces that denied the ballot box.
According to Cid, the commanders of the three forces signed a note authorizing the permanence of people in front of the barracks by the order of then President Jair Bolsonaro.
