The China-Brazil Economic and Commercial Forum was held at the Pinheiro Neto law firm in São Paulo, this Friday (28.mar.2025). The event brought together business and diplomatic representatives from 2 countries, including Ren Hongbin, president of (China Council for the Promotion of International Trade), Neves, president of the Brazil-China Entrepreneurs Committee, and Yu Peng, China’s consul general in Sao Paulo. The meeting had as its agenda the strengthening of trade relations and the search for new opportunities for cooperation.
Ren Hongbin highlighted the relationship between China and Brazil and the importance of promoting economic and commercial cooperation. He stated that CCPIT intends to deepen collaboration with Brazil, highlighting the initiative “Belt and Road” as one of the axes of expanding business opportunities.
The visit of the Chinese business delegation to Brazil, which included a meeting with Vice President Alckmin, was mentioned by Ren as part of this effort.
He said China’s willingness to work with Brazil to “Cultivating new driving forces for cooperation, expanding new spaces for industrial and supply chains, and inaugurating a new era of innovative multilateral cooperation.” He also expressed support to Brazil as president of BRICS this year, with the objective of “Promote a new symphony of solidarity and self -improvement in the ‘Global South‘”.
Brazilian participants stressed the importance of cooperation in the face of global changes, such as increased protectionism and climate and technological transformations. The commercial relationship between China and Brazil was highlighted in areas such as energy transition, higher value -added industries and coordination of supply chains.
The event was organized by CCPIT and the Brazil-China Business Committee and was attended by more than 100 representatives of trade and investment institutions, commercial associations and companies. Cooperation agreements have been signed with more than $ 2 billion, covering sectors such as grain acquisition, mining and participation in Expo Chain.
Ren Hongbin’s agenda in Brazil included meetings with government and private sector representatives, as well as business visits. The Chinese delegation was composed of representatives of more than 40 companies from different segments.
