A pair was arrested by planning to explode a bank branch in João Pessoa, Paraíba.
The explosives were found in a car in the neighborhood of Industries. The vehicle, which had been taken by assault, was spotted by the 5th Paraíba Military Police Battalion stopped on a street. During the approach, four men got out of the car shooting the police.
In the exchange of fire, two occupants of the vehicle were arrested. They would be residents of the capital of Paraíba. The other two suspects managed to escape and have not yet been found.
With the suspects, two long weapons, balaclavas, camouflaged clothes and tools to break into banks were found. Inside the car, the Military Police also found a lot of explosives. The Special Tactical Action Group (Gate) was triggered, and the street where the approach occurred was isolated until the artifacts were detonated by the specialized team.
According to the Military Police, the group was preparing to attack a bank branch in João Pessoa. The two prisoners were taken to the city of the Civil Police, where the arrests occur in the act in the capital of Paraíba.
