In the part of the Olomouc region, the state of danger for spreading contamination toxic benzene after the February accident crash with tanks has been valid since Friday noon. Czech Environment Minister Petr Hladík called for Hajtman Ladislav Okleštka on Wednesday, but Okleštěk first wanted to agree with the government on the conditions of financing costs. He said this on Friday at a press conference after the meeting of the Regional Security Council, says TASR.
“Because all the conditions I demanded from the government were fulfilled, the decision was made in the form of a government resolutionIn this spirit, I presented this to my colleagues from the Security Council and we unanimously agreed that I would declare the status of danger from today’s 12.00 am in the Olomouc region, ”said Hajtman.
The official decision of Hajtman says that The state of danger applies to the correct perimeter of the municipality of border, which has widespread scope to Hustopečečfrom noon on 28 March until noon 27 April.
The declaration of danger should accelerate the remediation of infested areas. The regional management will be able to issue work orders, disable entry into the area or to carry out landscaping and construction work without delay.
This was preceded by the Hajtman’s dispute with the Minister, who called him on Wednesday. Okleštěk, however, did not want to do so at that time and argued that from the point of view of legislation and competences, the state should address the accident. On Friday’s briefing, he justified his attitude by wanting with the government To agree on the conditions of financing, because the person who declares the state of the danger also carries the financial costs associated with liquidation.
On Thursday, he finally agreed with the government and immediately approved the resolution, where he said she incorporated the conditions of the region. The Government Office informed that the funds from the government’s budget reserve would be released.
