LATAM provided free travel solution to 85% of the 106,000 customers impacted by the suspension of Voepass operations. The company, which had operations suspended on March 11, has a flight sharing agreement (Codeshare) with Latam.

“The other 15% of customers have the process of resolution in conclusion,” according to a press release released by Latam. The company’s goal is to re -register or reimburse 100% of impacted passengers.

In the last two weeks, customers who have purchased Voepass airlines with Latam, marketed through Codesshare, were able to reschedule other flights or reimburse their tickets for free and directly in the Latam.com Travels section.

To minimize the impacts of the suspension, Latam operated six emergency flights from 12 to 17 March to support passengers with non -flying VOPASS tickets to Fernando de Noronha (PE). In addition, he began in advance to his own commercial flights at the Pernambuco destination and Ribeirão Preto (SP).

On March 11, the National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC) cautiously suspended the Air Operator Certificate (COA) of the regional company. The measure was taken after the agency found the violation of conditions for operations to follow within the appropriate safety standards.

“LATAM will keep ANAC and Brazilian society updated on the evolution of passenger care impacted by the suspension of Voepass and remains attentive to any new Anac communication about this suspension,” the company says through the statement.
