Moraes asks defense to clarify if Leo Indian fled to Argentina

Minister Alexandre de Moraes of the Federal Supreme Court (STF) gave 48 hours for the defense of Leonardo Rodrigues de Jesus, nephew of former President Jair Bolsonaro, to clarify if the accused fled to Argentina.

Leo Indian, as he is known, became a defendant in the Supreme for involvement in the scammers of January 8, 2023, after last month for the first class of the court.

Moraes’s decision was made after Bolsonaro’s nephew’s escape. In an interview given on Wednesday (26) to Radio Massa FM, from Cascavel (PR), Leonardo said he has been in the neighboring country for 20 days because he is afraid of being arrested.

“The lawyers regularly consisting of Leonardo Rodrigues de Jesus are summoned to provide clarification within 48 hours on the news that the defendant would have evaded the country,” the minister decided.

According to the prosecution of the Attorney General’s Office (PGR), Leo Indian participated in the acts of 8 January and made publications on social networks during the invasions.
