Tens of thousands of people gathered in the streets of Tehran to support the Palestinians on Friday. Iran’s highest leader Ajatollah Ali Khamenei called on the Iranian people to protest against the “enemy’s bun”. According to AFP and DPA reports, TASR reports this.
Crowds of people waved Iranian and Palestinian flags as well as the flags of the Lebanese militant Hezbollah movement. Many held banners with the inscriptions of “death America” and “the death of Israel”. Demonstrators also chanted anti -American and anti -Israeli slogans and promised to “fight without compromises until Palestine was liberated from the Zioniostic occupation”.
Extensive marches in the country
According to Iranian television, similar gatherings were held in other parts of Iran, and hundreds of thousands of people participated together.
“Your Kuds March will destroy all the tricks and fake words of enemies,” said Chamennei in the video Solly published on Thursday.
Kuds Day was announced in 1979 by the then Ajatollah Chomejní. Al-Kuds is, according to DPA Arab name for Jerusalem. The marches called for the return of Jerusalem Palestinians are traditionally held on the last Friday of the Muslim sacred month of Ramadan, writes AFP.
Iranian state television also informed on Thursday about the movement of naval forces off the Gulf coast and in the Caspian Sea. “We will fight until the last moment against anyone who will make aggression against us and destroy it,” said the naval commander of the Iranian revolutionary guards.
Representatives called on the Iranians to participate in demonstrations against Israel – the enemy of Iran – who does not recognize Tehran and call it a “Zionist regime”.
“The resistance will continue until the liberation of the Holy Kuds and the destruction of the Zionist regime,” said the Iranian Armed Forces General Staff in Thursday.
“The only solution to the Palestinian question … requires continuing resistance and global solidarity in the fight against the Zionist regime,” the army said.
Demonstrations in Iran were held despite the deepening economic crisis, which is exposed as a result of international sanctions, writes DPA.
