King Charles III was seen in public on Friday (28) for the first time after a brief cancer treatment to which he is being submitted.
The monarch was diagnosed with the disease in February 2024, but the cancer type was not specified by the Buckingham Palace.
Charles appeared leaving Clarence House, the official residence where he lives in London, sitting in the back seat of a car with the window partially lowered.
A video showed the king waving to the people on the street, a busy via between Clarence House and the Buckingham Palace.
On Thursday night (27), the palace reported that the king had returned home and that the official commitments scheduled for Friday would be postponed by precaution.
The court did not detail the side effects that motivated the hospitalization, but a source of royalty described the episode as “the slightest obstacle on the way” of treatment.
