Russia allegedly plans a new offensive to increase pressure on Ukraine and strengthen its negotiating position. Kiev claims that Putin is not interested in peace dialogue.
Russia announced on Saturday that it conquered three municipalities in the northeast, east and south of Ukraine. According to AFP, he continues in his procedure as he continues to reach the ceasefire, TASR reports.
The municipalities obtained, according to the Russian Defense Ministry, are Pantelejmonivka in the Donetsk region, Ščraky in the Zaporozka region and Veselivka in the Suma region. Ukraine did not comment on development.
The United States under the leadership of Trump has been trying to claim a ceasefire in the Black Sea between Ukraine and Russia for several weeks and stopping their attacks on energy infrastructure. Although Moscow and Kiev have in principle clear their consent, the implementation of these ceasefires is still unclear and both parties accuse each other of trying to thwart them, AFP said.
Putin talks about the UN transitional report
On Thursday, Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed the idea of establishing a “temporary message” for Ukraine under the auspices of the UN, which, according to the French agency, would mean the departure of Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Greeny from the position of head of state before negotiations on the Peace Agreement.
Meanwhile, Zelenskyj said on Saturday that the Russians had released more than 170 drones to Ukraine at night, hit Dnepropetrovska, Kiev, Suma, Kharkov and Chmeľnycka area. Four people and 21 other people, including a pregnant woman, killed injuries in the industrial town of Dnapro.
Ukrainian representatives and military analysts say that Russia is going to launch a new offensive in the coming weeks to extend pressure on Ukraine and strengthen its position in the prime ministeries. According to AP, this step could give Putin all the reasons to postpone discussions on stopping the fighting in favor of the efforts to get another territory. Kiev has long accused Putin that he is not interested in dialogue that could lead to the end of the war.
