Digital influencer Beatriz dos Anjos Miranda, 24, was killed by his ex-boyfriend in the metropolitan region of Fortaleza (CE).
According to the Military Police, the suspect was identified as Antonio Lício Morais da Costa, 20. He confessed that he strangled the woman with the seat belt of a car and then burned the vehicle with the victim’s body inside.
Beatriz was known for her humor, dance and sharing her routine on social networks, where she accumulated millions of followers and likes. In a social network of short videos, Beatriz had 1.4 million followers and over 37 million likes. In other networks, it totaled a total of 164.8 thousand followers.
In addition to his popularity, Beatriz was the mother of two daughters. On social networks, Beatriz and Lício recorded humor videos together, but the influencer even complained that in some episodes they did not get along.
In one of his latest publications, Lício had devoted a song to Beatriz, where he expressed the desire to marry her. The video caption said:
“I made a song especially for my wife, my future bride. It’s affectionate, heart. I tried to do it, right? She’s like that, oh, the name of the song is that’s a request.” See below:
Hours before the crime, videos released on social networks showed the couple amid a heated discussion. In one of the recordings, Beatriz appears hurting Lício with a sharp object while he accuses her of stabbing him. Police were even called, but there was no arrest at the time.
After Beatriz’s death, Lício was arrested in the act. According to the Ceará Secretariat of Public Security and Social Defense, he already had criminal records for contempt, resistance and crime against the public administration.
The case is being investigated by the Department of Homicide and Person Protection (DHPP) and recorded as femicide.
