Today the legendary Slovak band Hex celebrates 35 years on the music scene. The jubilee will celebrate the HEX 35 tour. His first stop on Friday (28. 3.) was the Social Pavilion in Košice. The group was founded in 1989, Peter Ďuďo Dudák and Tomáš Yxo Dohňanský were classmates from elementary school. The concert premiere was on 17 March 1990 in the Bratislava House of Culture Ovsište together with the formations of the scythe from the nose and the chamber quartet.
They have ten studio albums on their account today and included songs from the whole period of the band. They started with three gliders, 1.2,3 Hello, and where the sun sleeps, they continued with the songs Running, where there is love? In the middle of the concert, they sent the song Heaven to their members to his member Duď, who died young at the age of 46 on August 14, 2019.
Others were Bratislava’s guys, I (snow plow), Indian summer, life, Friday evening, when we are alone, Maťo and Linda, Oranges from Cuba and has never been better, the three final already as an additional grateful fans who created a great atmosphere from the first moment. Hexaci also invited guests on the tour, Miso Ovlo, the vocalist Laura Weng and the brass section of the band, composed of Jozef Croat (Trombon), Samuel Šimek (Tlying) and Ján Slezák (saxophone). The tour continues on April 1 in Žilina, April 3 in Bratislava, 9 April in Brno and 10 April in Prague.
“This is the band that has been the most about friendship, friendship and that we are good together. There were worse moments, but it is normal in the relationship, but we are still here plus-minus in the same line-up. We had a very difficult moment when we left Duďo. All this has been personified by those 35 years, in one word I would call it a friendship. “The band is currently on the new album, it looks incredible because it has resonated after so many years, which is unreal. It even has a song Orang from Cuba, which was the most played last year on the radio. We enjoy concerts and I am preparing other projects now. HEX released ten studio albums, in October 1992 the debut album Jesus Christ carried short pants, in September 1993 the second album Abrakadabra. In April 2023, they released a new, tenth album Where is the love ?, for which they received an award in March 2024 The Crystal Wing and also in March 2024 as well as the Angel of the Czech Academy of Popular Music for the best Slovak album.
