Have you missed the autumn planting of sapphires? You can do it now, but there is a condition

Sapphire can be grown in both gardens and in pots. To make them bloom for a long time and lush, we must take care of them properly. The correct and regular watering of these plants will make them sprinkle with charming blue flowers that we associate with spring. We suggest how to hydrate sapphire to stimulate them to flowering.

Watering sapphires is crucial for their proper growth. However, we must do it in the right way. First of all, remember that Excessive water supply can be very harmful to plants and leads to rotting. However, watering too rarely will result in a weak or dying of the plant.

Therefore, it is worth knowing how often to water the sapphire so as not to harm them. However, this depends on where we grow them. In the case of plants growing in the garden, it should be water them once a week or less oftenbecause they are resistant to drought. The exceptions are the periods when we are dealing with prolonged drought. Then it is worth increasing the watering frequency by controlling soil moisture.

In turn, when we grow sapphires in a pot, due to the fact that they have limited access to water and dry faster, they need more frequent watering. In spring and summer it should be done 3-4 days, in autumn every 5-7 days, and in winter every 7-10 days. Remember, however, to always check if the upper layer of the substrate has dried.

Not without significance is how much water we provide to sapphires. These plants like water watering. When supplying them with water, this should be done so that the ground is moist at a depth of about 10 cm.

Whereas In the case of pot cultivation, it is recommended to water around 100-150 ml of water. Thanks to this, we will hydrate the onions, not bringing them to rot.

When taking care of sapphire and watering, it is also worth remembering a few other issues that will affect the condition and flowering of the plant. It is important, among others, to use soft water to supply them, preferably at room temperature. Rainwater will be a good choice. Avoid watering with hard and chlorinated water.

In addition, let’s pay attention to watering the sapphire both those grown in the garden and in the pot, direct the water stream directly to the ground, without soaking flowers and leaves. Such action could lead to fungal diseases.
