The new Chairman of the National Council (NR) of the Slovak Republic Richard Raši (Voice-SD) to celebrate the end of World War II to Moscow with the Prime Minister of the Slovak Republic Robert Fico (Smer-SD) will not go. According to him, the first foreign trip of the new head of parliament should lead to the Czech Republic. Raši declared this in the discussion session TVR Saturday dialogues.

“I will not accompany the Prime Minister, but it is his sovereign decision that he declared in advance. It is his clear attitude and will make this journey,” He said Raši. Opposition MP of the National Council of the Slovak Republic and chairman of the SaS party Branislav Gröhling does not know who would like to go to Vladimir Putin on the Red Square to Vladimir Putin. “He is a person who is instruction to kill innocent people,” he recalled, saying that Russia is an aggressor who is trying to occupy a foreign sovereign territory.

The President of Parliament declared that the security of Slovakia is and will be one of the main themes, no matter what political set is currently in power. He appreciated that the President of the Slovak Republic Peter Pellegrini summoned and organized a round table of parliamentary parties to defend. The Slovakia Movement, which was not invited to the meeting, considers it a destructive element in opposition and coalition, adding that it is not an alternative. “The constructive part of the opposition was invited and not destructive,” he said.

Gröhling’s statements show that the meeting with the President was the subject of the meeting, in particular, defense expenses. According to him, the SaS takes the position that Slovakia needs a plan for the development of defense forces, but also a plan for increasing expenditure that can be discussed. He stressed, however, that it is not possible without the functioning economy of the state.

The current minimum limit – two percent of the gross domestic product – is considered the basis. He added that his party is the only one who refuses to include projects on dual, military-viable use in these expenses.
