Brazil also stands out as the country that most accesses news sites in Latin America

The stand out as the Latin American country that shares the most news and information on social media, according to a survey conducted by CSCORE. In 2024, Brazil recorded impressive 6.4 billion interactions with news content on social networks. Argentina follows in second position, with just over 3.9 billion interactions, while Mexico occupies third place with 2.7 billion.

Tiktok has consolidated itself as the most popular platform for this type of sharing, representing about 75% of the total interactions. Instagram comes next 20%, while Facebook and X (former Twitter) have 3%and just over 1%, respectively.

In addition to leading in sharing, Brazil also stands out as the country that most accesses news sites in Latin America. In December 2024, 123 million accesses were registered with these sites. Mexico and Argentina appear following 59.3 million and 33.5 million hits, respectively.

Previous studies have already indicated that Brazilians spend an average of nine hours a day on social networks, and now it is confirmed that a significant part of this time is dedicated to consumption and sharing news.
