Cereal coffee reigned in the kitchen in the PRL. It was a cheaper alternative to a classic, small black one, which at that time was expensive and difficult to access. Today, this healthy coffee drink is forgotten, but it slowly begins to return to favor due to the delicate taste and health properties.
Cereal coffee is a decaf drinkwhich is obtained from roasted grains of rye, wheat or barley, sugar beet, as well as chicory. This product is low in calories because it contains 5 to 50 kcal in 100 g depending on the composition.
In stores we will buy cereal in various forms. It can be granulated, soluble, in sachets or sleeping. In the last case, it requires cooking.
