Brazilian government states that attacks violate the ceasefire agreement between Tel Aviv and Hezbollah

Itamaraty published a note on Saturday (29.mar.2025) condemning the exchange of attacks between Israel and Lebanon. In the statement, the Brazilian government states that the bombings violate the ceasefire agreed between Tel Aviv and the extremist group Hezbollah. Here’s (PDF – 141 kb).

“By expressing strong concern with this recent escalation of violence and the systematic violations of ceasefire, Brazil calls on the parties involved to exercise maximum containment and to fully comply with the terms of the agreement and the obligations provided for in the resolution of the Security Council, including the full withdrawal of the southern Israeli troops.”says an excerpt from the note.

The Israeli Army Beirut, the capital of Lebanon, on Friday (28.mar). It was the 1st mass attack since on November 26, 2024.

The attack was after Israel claims that Hezbollah launched rockets against the country. The extremist group denied. Prior to the attacks on Beirut, the Israeli army issued warnings for the population to leave the place.
