Left makes acts scattered around the country against amnesty to Bolsonaro – 30/03/2025 – Power

This Sunday (30) and over the next few days, the left performs acts scattered across the country, having the agenda against the amnesty those involved with the scammer acts of January 8 as the main flag and defending the arrest of the former president ().

The organization of most acts was done by the entities that form the front people without fear and popular Brazil.

In São Paulo, left -wing parties and union centrals gathered at Oswaldo Cruz Square, in the Paulista Avenue region, on Sunday afternoon. And from there are walking to the former DOI – CODI (Detachment of Information Operations – Internal Defense Operations Center), the main torture center of the military dictatorship in the city.

Called by the Federal Deputy (-SP) in his social networks, the demonstration brought together PSOL leaders, such as federal deputy Ivan Valente. The Workers Party () was represented by Federal Deputy Lindbergh Farias and parliamentary Antonio Donato, of the Legislative Assembly of São Paulo.

In his speech, Boulos announced articulation for the text not to be approved, as was Lindbergh. “Amnesty is the scambau,” said Boulos, in his speech.

“This week we listened to provocation of the press, from the right, saying that our act was going to be emptied,” said Boulos. “I tell you without fear of making mistakes, here today on Paulista Avenue there are more people than the coup act in Copacabana.”

The demonstration occupied the space of the square and its surroundings, and took one of the two roads of the avenue, on the block between the square and Rua Teixeira da Silva, when he began to follow him to Doi-Codi.

In Sao Paulo, protesters also called for the removal of the Israeli government from the Gaza Strip, and the end of the 6 x 1 scale.

Members of the Carioca (homeless workers’ movements) extended under the arches of Lapa a flag with the phrase “no amnesty for those who attack democracy.”

The flag, according to members of the entity, was placed at 7am and withdrawn ten minutes later by military police. In a statement, the PM stated that the removal was made because it is a historical and cultural monument.

Militants of the (Workers Party) and UP (Popular Unit) delivered leaflets and stickers against the amnesty at the Glory Fair and Flamengo Park.

The act in the state capital next Tuesday is scheduled for the headquarters of the former DOPS (Department of Political and Social Order), in the Center, with a walk towards the Military Club in Cinelândia.

In Minas Gerais, the act was concentrated in Independence Square, on Afonso Pena Avenue. The miners took posters with missing and killed photographs by and a cloth doll with Bolsonaro’s face placed between bars.

Protesters who carried the bars wore masks of the ministers of the (Supreme Federal Court) Carmen Lúcia and Alexandre de Moraes, two of those who voted, on Wednesday (26), for the receipt of the (Attorney General’s Office).

In, in Pernambuco, the act took place in Parque Treze de Maio, in the Boa Vista neighborhood and, in, in Pará, the demonstration concentrated students around the Peace Theater.

In, the act in the Eixão of Leisure had posters against the amnesty and the memory of the dead in the dictatorship, with references to the movie “I am still here”. There were also flags and posters in favor of Palestine and a ceasefire in the region.

There are acts set out this Monday (31) in Niterói, Rio de Janeiro, Ribeirão Preto, interior of São Paulo, and Fortaleza.

On Tuesday (1st) there are demonstrations in the capitals Aracaju, Campo Grande, Salvador, João Pessoa, Rio de Janeiro, Teresina, Sao Paulo and Fortaleza.

The fronts without fear and Brazil popular programmed 29 mobilizations in municipalities in various states of the country, between Friday (28) and Tuesday (1st). Already the collective of lawyers prerogatives will promote an act on Monday (31), at PUC-SP (Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo), in the state capital.

For the second year in a row, the Government (PT) will not perform official acts in memory of the date that marks the 1964 military coup.

Last year, on the 60th anniversary, the president not to do neither criticism nor ceremonies linked to the theme, in an attempt not to tense the relationship with the military. In 2024, Lula said he would rather not be “brooding” over the 1964 coup because that and he wanted to “play the country forward”.
