Again on the streets of Constantinople protesters
It is noted that hundreds of thousands of Turkish citizens gathered on Saturday (29/3) in the suburb of Maltepe on the Asian side of Constantinople, responding to the call of the Republican People’s Party (CHP) in order to protest his arrest.
It was the first major gathering after the rallies in front of the Town Hall, the first few days after his arrest and his detention in the Silibria prisons.
According to the president of the Republican People’s Party, 2.2 million people raised. For his part, however, Ankara Mayor Mansour Yavas, who was also a speaker, spoke of hundreds of thousands of concentrated.
The security measures were strict, the gathering area was fenced with iron railings, and police were checking in the citizens who entered the site. The protesters were shouting slogans such as “justice”, “government resign”, “all together or no one”, while opposition parties sent representatives.
The “present” was given to the rally by the wife, son and parents of Imoglou. His wife, Dilek Imamoglou, was even a speaker.
