The call of activists from Planet Over Profit was held on Saturday a worldwide resistance to US billionaire Elon Musk. Hundreds of demonstrators gathered on Saturday before the Tesla electric cars, as well as in several places in Europe, on Saturday, AP reported.

Demonstrators are trying to escalate the campaign against Tesla dealers and vehicles because they disagree with Musk’s action as the head of the newly created state administration efficiency (Doga), where he has gained access to sensitive data and closed government agencies, trying to reduce government expenses. Most of the estimated Musk’s assets of $ 340 billion are the shares he owns in a company with electric vehicles – it continues to be driven, while working for US President Donald Trump, explained AP.

While previous protests against Tesla were isolated, Saturday was the first attempt to “siege” all 277 Tesla Motor Show and service centers in the US – in the hope that such an action will gain more attention from the public.

Up to 1000 people gathered in front of Tesla store

In front of the Tesla shop in Manhattan, New York, 500 to 1,000 people gathered on Saturday to demand Musk’s resignation as Doga’s chief. During the event, the demonstrators declared that “weaning Musk will save lives and protect our democracy”.

In its report, AP quoted the statement of 70 -year -old Amy Neifeld, who came to demonstrate for the first time since the protests against the Vietnam war in the 1970s – according to her, Elon Musk leads the United States to “fascism”.

Another protest participant, Hudson Fisher, said that “Trump is just a poor vice president,” because “reins” actually holds Musk. “He has too much money and power. It has more power than the government, without brakes and counterbalances. This is a real danger,” he said.

Tesla did not comment on these gatherings. The US government now considers attacks on Tesla to be “domestic terrorism”.

Similar demonstrations as in the US were also held in Madrid, Berlin or London, where one of the participants explained that he came to “protest the system that must change. One person cannot make arbitrary decisions for our country”.

After Musk found himself in the White House, he became perceived as a controversial and hated figure. His opponents are mobilizing not only in the United States, but also elsewhere in the world, burning Tesla cars, destroying charging stations and meeting in protests. Since Donald Trump’s return to the US President’s office, the value of Tesla shares has fallen by more than 40 percent.
