Founder of the Brazilian Institute of Responsible Game, André Gelfi claims to have “demand” for the activity in the country
O founder and director of (Brazilian Institute of Responsible Game), 50 years old, says there is a “demand” by casinos in Brazil and that the prohibition of activity is useless for this. The statement was given in an interview with Poder360.
“IBJR is absolutely favorable to the regulation and ruler that sustainably inserted an economic activity within Brazilian society. It would not make any sense that we were opposed to regulation. What we observe as Brazilians is that there is a demand for this activity, there is a historical informality: it is decades and decades wiping ice, trying to prohibit an activity that is happening. Mechanisms for it to happen in a sustainable way, as there is this interest on the part of society, it is the best way.it says.

The bill deals with the authorization of casinos and bingos in Brazil, as well as legalizing the animal game. The text is being processed in the Senate.
About the animal game, Gelfi says IBJR does not have a formal position on the subject. “AGora, André, consistently with what he said earlier, understands that if there is an activity that has the interest of society by it, which can be worked in a way that meets the interests of the collective, it must be regulated. If it is an activity that liquidly only brings damage, I think it is a case for us to look more carefully. It doesn’t seem to me that it is the case with the animal game. André is in favor of regulating the game of animal, ”he says.
