About 300 workers were fired; Institute is responsible for peace negotiations and employs about 600 people around the world
The government of President Donald Trump (Republican Party) fired about 300 employees on Friday (28.mar.2025). Organ is responsible for peace negotiations and humanitarian aid to countries devastated by conflict.
The resignation takes place only 2 weeks after Trump dismiss the president of the Institute and puts Kenneth Jackson, an agent appointed by the Doge (Government Efficiency Department), controlled by businessman Elon Musk.

The US Institute of Peace employs around 600 employees in various parts of the world, committed to peace negotiations and providing humanitarian aid to countries devastated by wars, conflicts and invasions, as well as assisting in their reconstruction. There are employees in countries such as Philippines and Ukraine, as well as the sub -Saharan Africa region.
