72% of Americans expect short -term price increases, says research

Research conducted by YouGov, in partnership with CBS News, points out that 72% of Americans expect short -term price increase due to US President Donald Trump’s tariff policy, and 47% are inflated in the long run. Only 5% of respondents see short -term tariff impact, and 29% in the long run.

According to the survey, which heard 2,609 people between March 27 and 28, 55% of respondents said the Trump government is “focusing a lot” on applying tariffs, while 64% think US administration is not focusing enough to lower economy prices.

The expectations of impact of the Trump government’s economic policies worsened in the survey conducted in January. According to the survey, 42% of respondents evaluate that republican administration measures are worsening their financial life, and only 23% see their conditions improving – in January, the survey showed 28% and 42%, respectively.

Currently 60% of Americans claim to be dissatisfied with the US economy.
