February 2025 brought a positive record for the Brazilian labor market, with the creation of 432,000 new formals, according to data from the new General Register of Employees and Unemployed (New Caged), released on Friday (28). This number represents the largest variation since 2020. Between January and February this year, there were about 576 thousand new vacancies. This performance exceeds the same period of 2024, when more than 480 thousand vacancies were filled. The service sector stood out, generating more than 2 million formal jobs since 2023, followed by trade and industry.
